Growing with Bear: 2 Months

Wow! I can't believe she is two months already.  But at the same time I can hardly remember what life was like without her in it!  She brings more joy to our lives than I could have ever imagined.  She makes it so easy to get up each morning knowing that we get to spend another day with her and see what new things she will do that day.  And her 2 month stats are in:

            Weight: 10 lbs 12 oz   75th percentile
            Height: 23 1/2 inches  90th percentile
Yes, you read right, 90th percentile in height!  Travis and I have a child in the 90% percentile, but with our luck our sons will be in the 10th percentile.  Oh well!

Here are a few to remind you of how she has grown.

What We've Been Up To...

...and some other random stuff:
Our time in Cleveland is always wonderful and we are going to miss it all soooo much when go back to Idaho.  Presley has been soaking up lots of Grandma & Grandpa time and loves to play with and talk to them.  She is so lucky to have 2 great sets of grandparents that lover her so much.

The sweetest lady at the nursing home where my mom works has been knitting cute things for both Presley and Paige.  She had made this little bonnet hat for Presley but it was so so tiny.  She said she could save it to use on her dolls when she gets a little bigger but my mom and I tried to take a picture of her in it anyway to show the lady and I think it is the funniest picture ever!

Notice the bandages on her little legs.  Yesterday Presley had her 2 month doctor visit which means lots of shots!  Poor baby!  It was so hard on me to watch her in so much pain.  We learned something about Presley though, our sweet, content, even tempered little girl HATES pain! Even the nurses couldn't believe how much she screamed and how long it went on.  She was miserable and not her self the whole rest of the day.  So sad!

Posing at Paigey's blessing.  It was so neat to be here for her special day.
I am absolutely loving being able to spend time with all the girls just hanging out.

Stole these from Lex.  We spent labor day at the air show in Cleveland (family tradition) and then had a fun cookout at the B's.  It was great but next year I will be taking headphones to cover Presley's little ears!  Don't you love Trav's faces!

Orchid Farm

For over a year now, my mom and I have been trying to coordinate a trip to the orchid farm of a doctor she knows from work.  For some reason the timing just never seemed to work out.  Last week the doctor told her they were having a gathering at the place and invited us to come.  We were determined to get there this time so Presley and I got up early Saturday morning and headed to Cleveland.  That afternoon Presley, my mom, Lex, Carter, Paige, and I all headed out to see what this place was all about.  It was not what we expected at all.  It is the doctor's father's land and it was absolutely beautiful.  There is a gorgeous lake, trees, a playground and acres and acres of land! The family was having a big get together with friends and family and lots of yummy food.  They were all so nice and friendly and made us feel so welcomed.  We hung out and enjoyed the area and after a little while we finally got the grand tour!  It is actually the mans dad that grows the plants (it turned out to be much more than orchids).  This man is incredible!  I cannot believe the amount of time he must put into these plants, they are his babies, and his knowledge about them is astounding!  He has spent his life traveling the world to collect these rare species of plants and has even created new species of orchids!  Unfortunately both Lex and I forgot our big cameras so I only had the smaller one I keep in the diaper bag.  These picture don't even begin to do justice to how beautiful it all was so we will definately be going back again so Lexi can take some of her amazing pictures.

Thanks mom for taking us!  It was awesome.

The Sweetest Thing Ever

I know I'm a little biased, but come on, she is freakin adorable!

Anyway, I know I need to post and I'm getting to it, but I thought I'd post a pic to hold you over. Sorry Mimi & Papa, I know it's been a little while!
