Updates!

I thought I better finally post a little update on what we've been up to...

The most important thing in our life recently is that we got to see and hear baby #2's heartbeat and everything with baby looks great!
With that said, we actually got to see the baby a little sooner than expected due to some complications. A week before my first doctors appointment I had some bleeding and the doctor sent me in for an ultrasound. Turns out I have a "subchronic hematoma." Technically, a Subchorionic Hematoma is a gathering of blood between the membranes of the placenta and the uterus. The nurses described it to me as basically a tear in the placenta. They put me on 'moderate bedrest' as a precaution and to hopefully let the problem heal itself. I went back a week later for another ultrasound and unfortunately the hematoma is still there and still collecting blood, so for the time being I'm just taking it easy and letting Travis take care of pretty much everything else (I really can't complain, its been pretty nice)! And on the upside this means extra ultrasounds and extra peeks at our little one!
I'm pretty sure I made my family pretty nervous when I told them this, so I just wanted everyone to know it really isn't a huge worry and it isn't affecting baby's growth or well being at all. The miscarriage rates are increased, but only very slightly, and as long as I'm careful it can heal itself by about 20 weeks! And don't worry mom and dad...I promise I'm being careful and Trav is taking great care of me.
Other than that, my life has just been a lot of feeling icky and nauseated, but I guess that is life when you're pregnant! I guess feeling as good as a did with Presley for all my pregnancies would be too much to ask! Thank you so much to family and friends that have been so helpful while I've been feeling crappy! It is nice to know Presley will always be taken care of even when I can't do it!
And I can't end this without praising my wonderful husband for all he has been doing. He has been so great. Between school and work he is somehow taking care of the whole house and Presley and me too. He amazes me!

Glas for the update; it makes me feel better. Thanks to Travis for taking good care of you and Presley! Thanks, also, to Jenny. Please tell her I really appreciate her! It helps to know you're well taken care of even though I'm too far away to do it myself.
