Presley's First Picnic & More

This past weekend we were able to get together with family and friends for Presley's first picnic.  It was great!  Yummy food and lots of fun!  And thanks to Jenny, Presley had the perfect picnic outfit and looked adorable!  Thanks mom and dad for such a fun time!
We are still trying to get Paige & Presley to interact, but they are pretty oblivious of one another!

Playing ladder ball (or the 'game with the balls on the yarn')!
Later that night the girls happened to have on matching onsies so we tried to get a picture, but as usual we had no cooperation!
Just a few random ones:

Oh, and just for fun, here is Jimmy trying on his new 'sailboat patio dress.'

Happy Birthday Chase!

My younger brother Chase celebrated his 22nd birthday earlier this week.  I know we are a little late posting this but we wanted to celebrate with 22 things you might not know about Chase...

1. He has a very witty and quick sense of humor.
2. He has a talent for producing a series of farts on command (and mom is strangely proud of this).
3. He has many, many pet peeves (See #'s 9, 13, 17, 20, 22, & 24)
4. He is fluent in spanish.
5. He is self-conscience of the size of his head (due to the special ordered football helmets and the way my mom stared at it when he was a child)!
6. When he was a child he wanted to be "a person that cleans animal's teeth" when he grew up.
7. Claims that he only dislikes two foods in the whole world, carmel popcorn and candy corn.
8. When he was a child he spoke with a Boston accent ("Cotney").
9. Hates messy/full refrigerators.
10. Has had many concussions over the years.
11. Is afraid of swimming at night.
12. Can always win over mom by sweet talking her.
13. Hates leftovers stored in mis-matched containers.
14. Is known to hide things when he is suppose to be putting them away.
15. SWC Champ in 135lbs for wrestling
16. Once filled our neighborhood pool with fish (and was promptly banned from the coming back)!
17. Hates being hot in cars (is sure he will suffocate).
18. Has been known to pee in random places (ie.neighbors foyers, garbage cans, off roofs, etc).
19. Once hid his poopy underwear behind Gam-Gam's toilet for the cleaning lady to find.
20. Is irritated by overweight people eating greasy food.
21. Was the first person to wish Jimmy Happy Birthday this year.
22. Loves to sightsee, walk, and hike.

And a few more just for fun...

23. Once had a female stalker.
24. Hates floaties in his water.
25. Has had a small bald spot on the side of his head his whole life.
26. Wrestled on Team Ohio.
27. Is quite willing to help you optimize your spending money when you are buying him a gift to afford him the most gifts possible.
28. Once belonged to a gang called the "pooping bandits."
29. As a child he would have rather sold his toys at garage sales and make a buck than play with him.

Happy Birthday Chase!  We Love You!

Back in Cleveland

I am back in Cleveland visiting again and it is so much fun to be around family! We just got here on Wednesday night and we have already had so much fun. Of course both Presley and I miss Travis a bunch so we'll be headed back up to Buffalo some time next week but it sure is fun to have cousins to play with. This is what we've been doing so far:

Lex had been wanting to take her boys to this fun playground out in Beachwood for awhile, so when she and a friend decided to go yesterday Presley and I tagged along.  It was the coolest place.  Lexi and I couldn't get over how much we would have loved it when we were little.  It is called 'Preston's Hope' and it was built as a playground for ALL children.  It is handicap accessible and allows for children of all ages and abilities to enjoy it.  There are so many neat things there but the best part is this make believe village.  There are streets and sidewalks and they lead around to stores, banks, schools, etc.   The boys just loved playing pretend in all the fun buildings, they were so cute!
The firehouse.
More of the playground.
Presley just hanging out.
This is how the girls spent most of their day!

My favorite boys on the fun tire swing.
It was such a fun outing, especially because we finished up with some yummy California Pizza Kitchen!

These next ones are from later that day when we got home.  Presley wanted Paige to look at her so bad, she tried asking nicely but Paige wanted nothing to do with her and Presley got a little pissed!

Paige had finally had it with Presley's screaming and thought maybe a good smack in the mouth would shut her up!

Later that night Presley and I got to go out with the girls for some dinner. It was great to see Jessie and Aileen and chat a little! Unfortunately I didn't take my camera. But here is a few more pics of Pres just for her daddy to see her!

I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it would be fun to try. It says that Presley looks equally like both of us (which is what I think). But when I tried my picture with my parents and it said the same thing I started to wonder if it just always said that. So I tried putting in my picture with Presley's and my brother-in-law Keith's picture to see what it would say about someone that has no blood relation to Presley. Well, turns out Presley looks 23% more like Keith than she does like me!! Go figure!

Weekend Fun

Since i posted about my disappointment in missing Shakespeare in the park, I thought I should point out that we did end up having a fun weekend after all. The next day we went to 'The taste of Lockport' and tried all sorts of yummy local Buffalo favorites. It was a beautiful day and nice to spend some time together and out of the house! Later that night we decided to try Shakespeare in the park again and this time we actually got there, but ironically I decided this time not to see the play. The park it was at and the neighborhoods around it were all designed by Olmsted, the father of landscape architecture, and it was so beautiful! I have decided where I want to live for the rest of my life. It was so amazing. So instead of seeing the play we walked and drove around the area and 'ohh'ed and 'ahh'ed at the incredible old mansions. I can't believe I didn't have my camera so we will definitely be going back. Here's a few pics from the weekend:
Travis found a new fashion statement he wants to try, shorts and work boots:

Easy To Please

I've always seen sitcoms where the husband does something stupid, the wife gets mad, the husband buys the wife flowers, and instantly all is forgiven and life is wonderful again.  Seems kind of ridiculous when you are watching it, like flowers can just make everything all better! Yeah right!

Well I have to admit it...I am totally a sucker for flowers!  I don't know why flowers work, but they do.  They shouldn't be enough to make up for all the stupid things men do, but there is something about getting  an unexpected bouquet of flowers that just melts my heart!  This weekend we had plans to go to Shakespeare in the park and I was very excited to finally get out of the house and do something with Travis.  Well, I got Presley and I all ready and packed up to go and ended up waiting on the couch for hours when Travis got stuck at work and long story short we never got to see the play.  I was more than a little irritated considering I've been stuck in a little apartment all week and this was my first chance to get out of the house.  When Trav finally got home I was prepared to let him know exactly how I felt (probably not very nicely), but lucky for him he walked in with 2 dozen roses (one for me and one for presley).  While I can't say it made it all better, it certainly calmed the storm!  So although I would like to say that I'm above letting a simple bouquet of flowers persuade my stand on things... what can I say, I'm a woman and I love getting flowers!

First Shoes

Well, I'm sure this is not exciting to anyone but me. Well, maybe my mom will care but that's about it. Oh well!

Presley wore her first pair of shoes today! I know they look a little geeky with the socks but that is the only way they would stay on! And here's a few more random pics that kind of show her getting more interactive and playful.

Sorry, I know this has been a picture overload today, but since everything else I posted was back tracking I thought I'd quickly post a more recent picture to keep everyone updated on my ever changing little sweetie!

Presley's First Month

                                                              Presley at one month old.

Presley's first month has been a whirlwind to say the least.  I'm pretty sure she has experienced, seen, and done more in her first short month of life than most children do in a year or more! She has already lived (sort of) in three states!  It has been a month filled with meeting new people, lots of packing and unpacking, her first airplane ride, two great showers with family and friends, many many outings, and so so much more.  Here are a few of the picture highlights:

She still doesn't love the car seat.
Meeting Grandpa Noll for the first time.
Meeting Mrs. Musiel
Just looking cute with all her curls.

Cuddling with Daddy.

         First real bath.
Hanging out with her best friend (and cousin) Paige.                                                                 Sorry, we are yet to get a good picture of the two girls together!
Playing with her new animal friends.
Finally fitting into a few of her cute outfits!
      More cute bath pictures!

Playing with her other best friend (and cousin) Lily!
Sleeping with her mouth open, just like her mommy!

Putting Grandpa down for a nap!
                 Just cute!
Had to throw in this cute one of Reese at a shower with family and friends.  Thanks again to Jill and Steph for such a fun day and to everyone who came. It was so great to see everyone and show off my baby girl!  (My family on the Richmond side also had a wonderful shower for Presley and I but I haven't had a chance to track down the pictures yet.  It was so fun to see so many loved ones that I don't get to see nearly enough.  It was so sweet of everyone to come and show us their suport!)
          More playing with cousins!
Wow, it has been a crazy month!
